a tale about friendship.

so Searchin’ For My Polestar (Tentai Kansoku) has officially become one of my Top 3 favourite JDramas i think (and to think that it was inspired by A SONG!)-

there’s just something so beautiful about the way the friendship of the 7 people were interpreted and the ultimate ending, where the main guy- my hero too now- said (upon the death of MY hero’s death- i told you it’s tragic!) :

“in order to move forward, we must learn to let go.”

and then, at the finale of it all, the narrator (main girl) goes something like,

“we are a small boat,

only able to carry the ones who are drowning,

only able to bring one person-

but I believe,

if we look up to the same stars,

if there is a group of best friends,

it is possible to produce a great potential energy;

even though we are far apart,

it still feels like we’re together;

we are riding on the same ship,

this miracle may happen-

we strive to achieve it together..”

honestly, i hope to have this kind of friendship one day- one that will last through a whole lifetime of break-ups, make-ups, bittersweet memories- whatever it may be, i’ll know that someone’s there.

…i can be so naive sometimes, yet i pray for it just the same.
