a little bit of randomness.

i think i’m really liking Asian movies these days, and i don’t think this is a bad thing at all :)

watched The Warlords last night- superbly awesome from start to finish, although i have to admit that it is gory and gruesome- and because of all the Chinese New Year celebrations, the national channels were showing mainland China/ Hong Kong movies tonight and i managed to finally watch Perhaps Love (double dose of the hot Takeshi Kaneshiro from last night to tonight!), plus New Police Story starring my ultimate dream guy, Daniel Wu.

they’re all really good shows, especially Perhaps Love- i’m such a sentimentalist in the end, i think, but i have to admit that the story seriously has a very beatifully put-together ending, just right for the tone of the film.

i seriously applaud the creators of this movie!

i like how Takeshi Kaneshiro’s character was portrayed- how he wanted the heroine so badly even after she’d left him 10 years ago, only to realize that in the end, they can never come back to the way they were and that although love has long gone, the feeling lingers on;

so the story ended with a love triangle resolved, whereby three individuals finally accepted their fates and moving forward to hopefully, start anew.

i can’t help but love these kind of shows :)
